(This is Not an official site, the official site is at40.com) American Country Countdown American Country Countdown is very similar to American Top 40. In fact, the show was created by Casey Kasem and Don Bustany. The show has been around since the 1970s. Each week the show counts down the top 40 country songs of the week, as found on Billboard's Hot Country Singles and Tracks chart. Visit the official site.
Leeza Gibbons used to have a Top 20 countdown for A. Contemporary and Hot A. Contemporary, where she would count down the top songs as well as give a lot of entertainment news. This was not a typical countdown show, since she focused more on other entertainment than the artists on the charts. Also, the charts were far behind the charts used on other programs. In 2001, Leeza began a similar version of the shows called "Hollywood Confidential". These shows are very similar to the previous ones, except the songs are no longer in a countdown format. You can learn more about Leeza at Premiere Networks' site.
In 1995, after the demise of classic AT40, Radio Express needed another show to take the place of AT40 around the world. They came up with the idea for the World Chart Show. The chart is determined by the playlists of the stations that carry the show, rather than paying for a chart from a magazine.
Produced by the NBG Radio Network, Hollywood Hamilton counts down the top 30 songs in two formats: CHR/Pop and CHR/Rhythmic. The charts are based on the playlists of the stations that carry his show.
Top of the World with Shadoe Stevens Shadoe Stevens is back counting down the hits. This time, he's counting down the hits from around the world.
